5 WAYS TO LOOK MORE STYLISH FOR YOUR ZOOM MEETINGS

Are you in need of a Zoom-style Remix?

If you are working from home, then you are probably dreading your Zoom Meetings because to you it means a full styling session first thing in the morning.

As an image and branding consultant, I’ve helped dozens of my clients create their personal branding styles that are simple and effortless to pull off.

I will share some of the techniques so you can go from feeling overwhelmed to being in complete control.  Here are 5 ways you can feel and look more stylish and put together for your next zoom meetings:

1. A 5-minute beat A.K.A makeup application is broken down into four simple steps below:

  • Step One: Foundation and or a Bronzer
  • Step Two: Mascara
  • Step Three: Fill in your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil
  • Step Four: Lip gloss or Lipstick

2. Hair- You don’t have to be salon-ready, but you should still look good.  So try a simple top bun, scarf, or headband. You can also have your Curls swept to the side. Think easy and effortless.

3. Chose a fabulous blouse or shirt- When it comes to clothes focus on the waist up. A sweater or fabulous blouse with a “puff sleeve” or a beautiful floral or patterned design will do.

4. Now for the fun stuff Statement Jewelry – Statement rings, or rings that match your brand. It’s a great way to catch people’s attention and share your personality in a visual way.

  • Statement Necklace – I love finishing off a look or taking a look up a notch with a nice statement necklace. Whether it’s long or short, a statement necklace is love and appreciated by everyone.
  • Bangles and Earrings – These are another great way to show your personality via your style and your brand colors.

5. Your surroundings – One of my pet-peeves about the current state of our quarantine Zoom meetings is people’s surroundings. Your background speaks louder than you do so choose wisely. If no one else has told you, let me be the first to say that we are paying more attention to your background than we are to you, especially if it unappealing. Visually communicate professionally.  Make sure there aren’t any messy piles or clutter in your shot. Choose beautiful wall decor to sit in front of and add flowers or plants to any buffet or sideboard. Backgrounds are also another great way to share your brand colors or your products.

There you have it, my stylish friends. 5 ways that you can feel more confident and stylish for your next zoom meeting.
