Letter From the Editor

Running a business is no easy feat. I can personally attest that this holds true, even in the fashion industry. While I may be in the business of making things look flawless, the reality is that I encounter my fair share of challenges and rough patches. It's during these moments that I often turn to fellow business owners and executives who live outside of the fashion world for guidance, inspiration, and wisdom.

Within the pages of this issue, I'm thrilled to introduce you to a fantastic lineup of BOSS women & men who not only excel in their fields but also possess that special something that makes business look good.

One of our featured individuals is Leah Fremouw, who boldly stepped away from a comfortable executive position to spearhead Bridging Virginia, a community development loan fund. Her journey is a testament to the power of vision, determination, and a commitment to positive change within our community.

We also delve into the story of Everett Foxx, a master networker who leveraged his 20+ year-old database of friends, clients, and colleagues to achieve remarkable success in the finance industry. His story is a shining example of how nurturing connections and relationships can play a pivotal role in the business world.

In addition, we take you into the world of Rita Ricks and Angela Lightfoot, two remarkable spiritual business and mental wellness coaches who have an incredible, God given ability to calm the anxious spirit of any entrepreneur. Their insights and guidance are truly invaluable in the unpredictable landscape of business.

These individuals are not just featured for their accomplishments, but also because they are the ones I personally turn to when I face challenges of my own. I hope that, just like me, you will find their stories and insights invaluable as you navigate your own entrepreneurial journey. As we celebrate these exceptional business leaders and their unique stories, we also celebrate the spirit of resilience that defines Virginia's business landscape. They remind us that success is not just about making it look good but about finding the strength to overcome adversity and thrive in the spaces of where you are.

Lastly, I want to express my sincere gratitude to our dedicated contributors and our incredible team for their hard work and passion in bringing these stories to life. It's their commitment that makes each issue of VA Style Magazine a source of inspiration, information, and style. Thank you for being a part of the journey that is VA Style. Happy Reading!

XO, Ashley Jefferson
