Becoming: VCU Homecoming

February 10, 2023 - Homecoming was in full swing this weekend as the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) held its highly anticipated Becoming Fashion Show, presented by Statement Models at the historic Main Street Station.

The show, which was attended by over 400 models, was a unique and memorable experience for all who attended, featuring a dynamic mix of dancers, models and musical artist, paying homage to the groundbreaking SAVAGE x FENTY fashion show. The models and dancers were diverse, representing a range of backgrounds, abilities, genders, body types, and personal styles. This inclusivity was celebrated throughout the show, as the performers took to the runway in a dazzling array of cutting-edge design including pieces from popular Richmond designer, Ryan Azia.

One of the most impressive aspects of the Becoming Fashion Show was the exceptional production and coordination. From the lighting and sound to the pacing and flow of the show, everything was executed with precision and finesse. The stunning visuals and high-energy performances kept the audience engaged and excited throughout the event.

Overall, the Becoming Fashion Show was a resounding success. It was a testament to the creativity, talent, and vision of VCU's fashion community and a testament to the university's commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity. The event was excellently produced and coordinated, and it was clear that a great deal of care and attention went into every aspect of the show.
