OLD DOMINION REVEALED AS ONE OF THE TOP STATES FOR SELF-CARE

Now more than ever, it’s important that we do our best to look after ourselves. New research by Moneypenny has ranked all 50 states to reveal which are leading the way when it comes to self-care and which could do with a little guidance.

Looking at six metrics such as a number of national park sites, disposable income, average precipitation, and more, Virginia has come in as the fifth-best state for well-being!

That’s not all, Moneypenny has also worked with an expert in the field to provide advice on how to opt for a healthier, happier lifestyle.

  • New research by Moneypenny reveals which of the 50 states rank most highly in terms of well-being.
  • Virginia places fifth with 22 national park sites and one of the highest number (86) of ‘therapist near me’ Google searches.
  • California, New York, Nevada, and Utah also placed in the top five.

After analyzing disposable income per capita1, national park sites2, average precipitation3, number of residents per health clubs4, ‘beauty salon’ search volume5 and ‘therapist near me’ search volume6, leading outsourced communications company, Moneypenny, has created an index highlighting the states taking self-care and well-being seriously.

Using weighted metrics, each location was given a total score and was ranked against all other states.

With 22 national park sites and one of the largest ‘therapist near me’ search volumes of all 50 states, it comes as no surprise that Virginia is one of the top states for well-being, finishing on a total index score of 2.92.
